Workbook introduction

Welcome to the work book for the Tektronix RSA306 with RTSA demonstration/experimentation board. This workbook will take you through a series of self-paced lab experiments which are designed to strategically address key themes in RF theory and practice to equip students and practitioners with the tools necessary to apply the knowledge effectively.

Each lab should take around 1–1.5 hours (plus 1-1.5 hours for the end of section questions) and can be used as stand-alone labs/demonstrations or as a complete course lasting for 10 weeks. Additionally, each lab activity is preceded by an introduction to the specific topic and is furthermore concluded with complementary library questions associated to guide and spark further study and investigation into that topic.

In addition to the notes and experiments presented in this workbook you are strongly encouraged to read around each topic to immerse yourself in the subject matter; by doing this you will develop deep structured learning of the area and it will help you to consolidate the various themes and topics in Radio and Data communications.
